Cal Ripken Baseball

All Stars

2022 All Stars

Palm Beach Gardens is part of the Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth Baseball league. After the Recreation season is over, teams are assembled to compete in tournaments with other leagues. Players for these “All Star” teams are chosen by a panel made up of all the managers in the particular age group by a majority voting process. There is no “try-out” or separate evaluation.

The initial cost of all-stars is $150.00 per child. You will be asked to raise additional money through sponsorships, fundraising, or be required to make additional contributions to cover your teams total costs as $150.00 is typically not sufficient.

Your child may be selected for either an “A” team or a “B” team in his/her appropriate age division.
“A” teams are selected prior to the selection of the “B” team. “B” teams are not a certainty and are established based on the number of available players and coaches after the “A” teams have been selected. Selection of a child to a team is not guaranteed. Parents and children are agreeing to participate on the team he/she is selected by the managers of each division. Players whom apply and do not agree to play after selection must be approved for All-Star play in subsequent years by writing to the Baseball Board with an explanation.

Practices will begin at the conclusion of the rec season, sometime during the first week of May. All-Star teams typically practice 4-5 times per week leading up to the tournament schedule. The All-Star season runs through the completion of Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Tournament play for your age group.
