Season Key Dates 

Evaluations: Saturday, October 18th, 2025

Make-Up Evaluations: Monday, October 20st

Drafts: Tuesday, October 21st - Wednesday, October 23th

Pre-Game Practice Begins : Week of October 25th

Playoffs and Championships conclude by: Saturday, January 31st

During Evaluations each player is provided a number that is to be attached to their shirt.  Evaluations last approximately 1 Hour.

Evaluations give the coaches the opportunity to see all players conduct some basic basketball skills and play in a short scrimmage.  The evaluation provides the coaches insight into each player's abilities and helps to ensure that all teams are drafted with players at all skill levels.

Team Communication

After the draft each family will be notified what team their child will be playing on via Sports Connect.  The Coach will be communicating with all parents to introduce themselves and provide additional information regarding the practice schedule and expectations for the season.

All communication is through email or text message from Sports Connect.

Team Practices and Game Schedules

Practices: Start Week of October 25th

Practice schedules will be posted via Sports Connect.  Practices will be held on the outside courts at Mirasol Park or Russo Park.

Games and Scheduling:

All age group games will start the week of November 10th.

All teams will play 2 games a week, and have a time slot for one practice each week.

The official game schedule will be emailed to each parent via Sports Connect prior to the first week of games.

Team Uniforms

Jerseys and shorts will be handed out before the first game from the coach.  

Each player will be responsible for their socks and appropriate athletic shoes.

The Mission StatementWe put children first.

The Palm Beach Gardens Youth Athletic Association shall assist in the positive physical and emotional development of our youth by providing programs for active participation in amateur sports. Shall encourage children of school age (K-12 grade) to participate in these programs. Shall take whatever steps necessary to provide an opportunity to participate, to any child, regardless of physical ability, ethnic background or financial resources. Shall seek to demonstrate and promote the concepts of team participation, spirit of competitiveness and fair play, both on and off the field, by players, coaches, officials, family and fans alike. Shall actively seek the necessary funding to accomplish its objectives.

It is because of our enthusiastic volunteers throughout the PBGYAA sports leagues that our programs are so successful. All volunteer coaches have gone though a full background check by the city of Palm Beach Gardens. Each Division Board consists of incredibly dedicated volunteers who are elected for an annual term.
