Positive Coaching and Parenting
This is a Recreation Soccer Program, the Palm Beach Gardens Youth Athletic Association expects all parents to behave in an appropriate and positive manner to all players, referees and other parents.
Inappropriate behavior or negative cheering is not tolerated, and can cause removal of a parent’s right to attend training and/or games.
Player Code of Conduct
The Palm Beach Gardens Youth Athletic Association expects all participants to be respectful to all players, coaches, referees, and parents. All parents and coaches are expected to encourage good sportsmanship and inclusion.
Inappropriate behavior is not tolerated, and can cause removal of a player’s right to attend training and/or games.
Registration
Sports Connect
Registration opens Friday, November 15th and will remain open until the divisions are full. A late fee of $20.00 will be charged for registrations after January 15, 2020. Cost is only $130 for Gardens’ residents. Non-residents are charged a $26 non- resident fee. This fee is a direct pass through to the City of Palm Beach Gardens. Your third child is free when registered for a single sport.
All players receive a soccer ball, uniform kit (jersey, shorts, socks), and access to free clinics administered by trainers from the Predators Competitive teams.
Coaches and other Volunteers
The entire PBGYAA Predators Recreation Soccer program is run by volunteers, including the coaches. The heart of the program volunteers is the Soccer Board, but all our limbs are the 200+ Recreation Coaches that volunteer their time every season. Coaches come in all forms, parents, family members, community members that love soccer, and previous players in our programs.
We take all of our children's health and safety as our first priority.
Every volunteer is required to do a background check for the City of Palm Beach Gardens, and also for the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA). In addition, each Coach is required to complete a concussion training video through FYSA as well as SafeSport training, that seeks to create a healthy, supportive environment for all participants.
Once these things are completed and validated, we are able to provide each coach their "badge" that you will see them wearing during games while they are on the fields. If a coach does not have the badge, they will need to get a temporary badge from the concession stand.
Coaches/volunteers are not allowed on the player side line without a
badge. Parents are not allowed on the player side line, unless it is an emergency.
We are also always in need of other volunteers to help! Please email [email protected] to provide your contact information.
